Centers for Back to School!

I’m so excited to share with you my Back to School Math & Literacy Bundle! I wanted to make centers with easy to learn directions so the children will have success during center time!
The bundle includes 10 centers in all – 5 literacy and 5 math. Here is a glimpse of what you will find in this bundle:
First, Back to School Letters and Beginning Sounds Puzzles. This center has a variety of activities to do! The kids can match uppercase to lowercase letter (as shown in the top for letter A), match uppercase to beginning sound (shown for letter B), or match lowercase to beginning sound (shown for letter C). You can choose which way to play! OR you can start with matching letters for a few weeks and then move on to matching letters to beginning sounds. It’s a great way to get a lot of use out of this center! Do you use morning tubs? It’s perfect for morning tubs, too!

Spin and Cover is a center my students love to play! This can be played alone or with a partner. The kids will spin the spinner, identify the letter and cover it on the game board. You can use paperclip to make the spinner or pick up these awesome arrow spinners from  Amazon {here}  Just snap them on and you have a spinner!!! This is another center that can be used in a variety of ways. Use for uppercase, lowercase or for handwriting! This is a center that you can use for weeks and the kids won’t get bored!

Letter Match Clip Cards is fun way to match letters. There is an uppercase version and a lowercase version. My favorite way to use these is mark each letter with a clothespin. This helps the children strengthen their fine motor skills while working on letter identification!

Shapes Roll and Cover (or Color!) is a center that allows practice with shape recognition. Have the kids cover the shapes with a game piece OR use the printables and color the shapes! This game can be used any time of the year.
Next, practice patterns with school tools! This center has sets of AB, ABB, AAB, and ABC patterns. The children identify the pattern and add the card that completes the pattern. This is another center (or morning tub) that can be used over and over again by progressing through the different types of patterns.

Back to School Roll and Color has two versions of the games – 1-6 and 7-12. There are several games that you can choose from – numerals, tally marks, counting and numeral writing. The children roll and color the matching number on the recording sheet. Again, this is game that you can use for the whole month of September because there are so many games included! it is perfect for morning tubs, too!

There are FIVE more centers in this Back to School bundle! Just click on the picture below to find them all in one money-saving bundle:
