Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Fun!

I started school on August 27th and have been going non-stop since!
I FINALLY have a chance to catch up on the blog!

So, where do I start?

This year I decided to do a year long Chicka Chicka Boom Boom theme.  I am loving it and so are the kids!  Each child made a “Chicka Chicka Tree” (I don’t have a picture but will post one soon!)
The trees were easy to make!  Here are the supplies we used:
1 large sheet of blue construction paper
1 pre-cut brown rectangle (trunk). (11 x 2)
5 pre-cut green rectangles (leaves) (5 X 2)
Have the children place the blue paper vertically on their table.  Next, they will glue the trunk onto the blue paper.  Now, they will use their scissors to trim off the corners of their leaves.  And now, they are ready to be glued onto the tree!  Each time we work on a new letter we will add that letter to the tree!  I am using my scrapbooking “scraps” and my Mickey Font on the Cricut to make the letters!!  I love, love, love it!  They trees will be up on my bulletin board all year.  At the end of the year the kids will have a Chicka tree with the whole alphabet to take home!

I also made these Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Handwriting Books to use with each letter!
The kids are loving them!

Each child also made these fun Chicka themed books to color and read!
They are easy to put together and perfect for little hands!

We’re working on apples now . . . I will be adding lots of our apple activities to the blog!
