There are five Language Arts Centers that focus on rhyming, letter recognition, beginning sounds, cvc words, and sight words.
Christmas Beginning Sounds is a fun way to match the letters with a picture from A-Z. I have included a set of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and a set with both upper/lower together. The children line the letters up in order and then find a beginning sound picture for each letter. This is also fun to use on the pocket chart!
HO! HO! HO! Sight Word Game features 220 sight word cards to practice reading. Choose the words you want to focus on, place them in a seasonal container and pass them around your large or small group. If you get the HO! HO! HO! card the game is over! This is always a hit in my whole group meeting!
There are five Math Centers that focus on counting, ten frames, tally marks, number writing, graphing and number order.
The Christmas Counting Mats are always a hit when I add the Holiday Erasers (60 Pcs) – Basic School Supplies & Erasers & Pencil Toppers for counting. There is also a printable sheet of ornaments that you can use. The cards are from 1-20 and they are perfect for morning tubs or math center!
The Christmas Count the Room Center gets your kids up and moving. Hang the 12 cards throughout the classroom. Next, give each child a clipboard with a recording sheet. They walk around the room, find a card, count the objects and record it on the sheet. I use The Stikkiworks Co. Stikkiclips 30 White Clips Per Pkg.to hang them in my room and then I switch the cards for each theme. Take a look at all of my Count the Room Centers here.
The Christmas Spin and Cover Game is a fun way to practice number identification, ten frames, and tally marks. The children will spin the spinner and cover the number on the game board. There is also a black/white printable version where the kids spin and color the matching object on the sheet. There are also two versions of the game: 1-6 and 7-12. You choose what works best for your students!
I love the Christmas Cube Roll Game because it is different every time you play! Just roll the die and color the next box in the row. Stop and count when one of the rows reaches the candy cane. There is a recording sheet to write down how times each object was rolled.
