Spring is a great time to have your Kindergarten kids build CVC words.
This activity is perfect for small groups, word work and literacy centers.
This literacy activity includes 40 CVC word cards (8 of each short vowel). Use them for Kindergarten, First Grade or Intervention groups. Children can use letter magnets or letter tiles to build the words. Also, try Vis-a-Vis markers to write on laminated cards.
How to Play
To prepare for this activity simply print, laminate and cut. Choose the cards you want to use with your students. For example, if you are working on short a put only the short a cards in a seasonal container. OR place a few of each short vowel sound if your students have learned all of the short vowels. Have the students say the name of each picture and use the letter magnets or tiles to spell the words.
