Here is a literacy activity that can be used for large group (on the pocket chart), small group, literacy centers and independent work. Kids love reading the fun holiday sentences again and again! Grab it {here} to use it in your classroom!
The activity includes 20 Valentine’s Day themed sentences. The students will unscramble the color coded sentences on the pocket chart or table. Then, they can use a Valentine pointer to read the sentence. Next, have the children use the matching NO PREP cut and paste worksheet to make the same sentence plus an illustration.
How to Play
To prepare this center simply print, laminate and cut. Place the color coded cards in a seasonal container. The children will choose the cards from one color coded set and unscramble the sentence. Read the sentence and create a new one.
There are also 20 NO PREP cut and paste worksheets. They match each pocket chart sentence. Use these for morning work or independent work.
